Introduction

The ASHTAS Installer B Course is the second stage of the ASHTAS series of courses. This course is designed for operatives seeking accreditation in the installation of road safety hardware.

The Module covered is Rigid Barrier.

Target Audience

This module provides information about the following - 
  • General Awareness of Rigid Barriers.
  • Knowledge to be able to install rigid safety barriers. 
  • Knowledge to identify and report damages.
  • General Awareness of the quality requirements during the installation process of rigid barriers.
Course Requirements - 
Learners are required to:
  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Hold a White Card (CPCWHS1001 or equivalent)
  • Hold ASHTAS Operative e-card (Book for the Operative course here - ASHTAS Operative Course)
  • Students MUST obtain the 'Installer A' e-card and complete the logbooks.

Learning Methods

This module will take approximately 3 hours to complete (including theory and assessment). Post course logbooks must be completed by the student. The logbooks will be assessed by Lantra.

This course can delivered by face-to-face delivery‚ or via blended learning online. The course consists of theory‚ class participation‚ theory assessment and completion of e-logbooks.

Students must obtain Installer A prior to attending Installer B.
