Introduction

This skill set address the skills and knowledge required for those working in the traffic control and traffic management Industry who do not directly undertake temporary traffic management roles on worksites. 

STUDENTS WILL NOT RECEIVE A STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT (SOA) FOR THIS TRAINING. 

Target Audience

This skill set is for individuals responsible for developing traffic management plans and traffic guidance schemes for Temporary Traffic Management Category 2 roads.

Eligibility Requirements:
To ensure you meet eligibility requirements‚ you'll be required to upload the requested evidence with your online enrolment form. If evidence is not uploaded and/or incomplete, your enrolment cannot be processed, and you will be unable to attend any sessions. As a reminder, eligibility requirements are:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills to ACSF level 2 or above (not required if previously completed at CivilEdge).
  • Provide a copy of current Traffic Management Accreditation Card.
  • Completion of TMD 1 - 'RIISS00063 Traffic Management Designer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads' (Statement of Attainment)


 

Learning Outcomes

  • Establish context for traffic management plan
  • Prepare traffic management plans
  • Select, modify or design traffic guidance scheme
  • Finalise traffic management plan preparation process
  • Support and review traffic management plan implementation

Learning Methods

The Traffic Management Designer 2 (TMD 2) course will run over 1 day. Throughout the day‚ theory-based assessments and activities will be completed.

The assessment comprises both theoretical and practical components.

Course Modules

Successful participants will receive a Statement of Completion for non-practitioner training. This Statement of Completion will provide the individual with non-practitioner status which excludes the individual from performing the function of a Traffic Management Designer.
