Introduction

This skill set address the skills and knowledge required for those working in the traffic control and traffic management Industry who do not directly undertake temporary traffic management roles on worksites. 

IMPORTANT: THIS IS A NON PRACTITIONER COURSE, STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE THIS COURSE WILL NOT RECEIVE A STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT (SOA) FOR THIS TRAINING, AND WILL NOT BE AN ACCREDITED TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTOR (TMI).

Target Audience

This skill set is for individuals wanting to undertake training to obtain knowledge and understanding for traffic management implementation on a site and road workers on Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) Category 3 roads.

Course Requirements:

  • Have Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills to ACSF level 2 or above (A short quiz is required to be taken to ensure this is met - students who have previously completed this quiz with CivilEdge do not need to retake)
  • Completion of TMI 1 - 'RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads' (Non Practitioner or Practitioner)

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand how accredited professionals implement traffic management plans on motorways and freeways

  • Understand how accredited professionals close down work activities

Learning Methods

The Traffic Management Implementer 3 (TMI 3) course will run over one (1) day. Throughout the day‚ theory-based assessments and activities will be completed.

Course Modules

Successful participants will receive a Statement of Completion for non-practitioner training. This Statement of Completion will provide the individual with non-practitioner status which excludes the individual from performing the function of a Traffic Management Implementer.

STUDENTS WILL NOT RECEIVE A STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT (SOA) FOR THIS TRAINING.
