Introduction
The Blended RPL pathway is designed for participants who already possess extensive knowledge and practical experience in Temporary Traffic Management on Category 2 roads, and need to upskill to the AGTTM skillsets.Target Audience
This pathway is designed for individuals with prior knowledge and hands-on experience working in Traffic Control and Traffic Management Implementation on Category 2 roads. It is intended for experienced personnel seeking to upskill to the AGTTM Category 2 skill sets.

Course Requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Have Language‚ Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills to ACSF level 2 or above
- Completion of TC1 and TMI 1 skill sets. (RIISS00058 Traffic Controller Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads and RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads).
- At least 40 hours of experience working in a temporary traffic management workplace in a traffic controller role.
- At least one month experience applying skills and knowledge relevant to the TMI 1 skill set in a temporary traffic management workplace
- Provide evidence of relevant experience setting up at least 12 temporary traffic management types including high speed roads or high-volume roads‚ and at least two of the following types:
- pedestrian and cyclist controls
- construction sites
- lane closures
- shoulder closures
- night works
- use of portable traffic control devices
- motorways or freeways
- Provide sufficient evidence to meet all RPL requirements

Learning Outcomes
- Prepare to control traffic and operate communication devices
- Control traffic at traffic signals where signals have been turned off
- Control traffic on high volume roads
- Prepare to implement traffic management plan
- Set out & monitor traffic guidance scheme
- Conduct housekeeping activities & close down work activities
- Ensure the work health and safety requirements are adhered to by all
- Communicate regularly with client, personnel, and other relevant parties
- Diagnose and solve routine problems
- Monitor & coordinate work program
- Maintain operating records
Learning Methods
The TC2 - TMI2 Blended RPL pathway has been developed for individuals with existing experience working as a Traffic Controller (TC) and Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) on Category 2 roads.
Delivered over 2 days, this course is designed to advance participants' skills by covering current updates, changes, and best practices in Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) since they last obtained their TC and TMI credentials. Each day focuses on targeted learning content and the completion of the theory assessment components required for the units.
