This skill sets address the skills and knowledge required for those responsible for traffic control and traffic management implementation on Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 environments as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.

These skill sets are for individuals seeking approval through their State/Territory Transport Agency who will be responsible for stopping and starting traffic in Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) on urban streets and low volume rural roads and for traffic management implementation on Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 environments as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.

Course Requirements:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have Language‚ Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills to ACSF level 2 or above
  • Must hold the unit ‘CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry’ or equivalent (e.g. White Card).
  • Bring your own PPE (including steel capped boots, broad brimmed hat, eye protection, gloves, long pants and high visibility shirt / vest / jacket).
