Course List – TAS

This is a 3 day course. Day 1-2: classroom theory and activities, Day 3: practical simulation assessment. Post course requirements: TC and TMI vocational placement and a TC and a TMI assessment day. Please see details below. 

These skill sets address the skills and knowledge required for those responsible for traffic control and traffic management implementation on Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 environments as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.

Successful participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for:
RIISS00058 Traffic Controller Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads.
RIISS00060 Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads.

This skill sets address the skills and knowledge required for those responsible for traffic control and traffic management implementation on Temporary Traffic Management Category 2 environments as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.

This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge required for those responsible for developing Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS) on Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 environments as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.

This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge required for those responsible for developing Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS) on Temporary Traffic Management Category 2 environments as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.

This Construction Induction Card (White Card) course is a mandatory requirement for all workers on building and civil construction sites. In this White Card course‚ you will learn the basic principles of occupational health and safety requirements.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will need to apply directly to Services Tasmania within 60 days to obtain your White Card.
